Get support for the enforcement of maintenance payments
If you have difficulty enforcing maintenance payments, we can assist via our opt-in Matrimonial Maintenance Claim system.
Complainants can benefit from this platform as a preventive measure to encourage Respondents to pay promptly, as it serves as a deterrent for Respondents to default on the maintenance payments.
If Respondents fail to pay, it will be displayed as in the credit bureaux report. These negative records are available to lending institutions who may conduct credit checks on the Respondents for purposes of account management or acquisition. In addition, the Complainant can request for assistance to collect such claims*.
In the event where the default is caused by job loss or cash flow issues, we will act as interim facilitators to restructure payment agreements, enabling the Respondents to adhere to the Matrimonial Maintenance Order, while having some flexibility in making payments.
Respondents who are prompt payers can also request to have their prompt payment records displayed in the credit bureaux report. This will serve as good credentials towards their willingness to assume their responsibilities to their ex-spouse and add value to their credibility to lending institutions who may conduct credit checks on the Respondents for purposes of account management or acquisition.
Experian is gazetted by the Singapore Government’s Ministry of Social and Family Development to enable the Complainant and Respondents to post and update the Matrimonial payment details related to the Court Order.
